The AIDS Clinical Trials Center (ACTC) is a group of caring professionals who are working together to make a positive contribution in our fight against AIDS. The ACTC has been in operation since 1992 and is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and by the pharmaceutical industry. The Prinicipal Investigator, David Haas, is responsible for overall conduct and coordination of the program.
The primary mission of the ACTC is to study the safety and effectiveness of promising new anti-HIV drugs and immune-based therapies for people who are infected with HIV. The information learned from these studies will ultimately improve the health of millions of people who are dealing with HIV infection.
