Events

Here are some of the exciting events we have planned for you.

  • The Early Bird Reception will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2002, in the Sheraton's Pinnacle, Nashville's only revolving rooftop ballroom. Come early and get your chance to gaze at the stars, visit with friends, and enjoy Nashville's downtown skyline.

  • The Radnor Lake Hike will be held on Friday, October 18, 2002. Radnor Lake State Natural Area is located in Davidson County in the midst of Overton Hills, south of Metropolitan Nashville in the Oak Hill Community. Hundreds of species of wildflowers, mosses, fungi, ferns, and other lesser plants as well as trees, shrubs, and vines add to the natural ecological diversity of the area.

  • The The Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art Tour will be held on Friday, October 18, 2002. The Botanical Garden includes specialty gardens throughout the property, greenhouses, and landscaped vistas. The Museum is a fine example of Georgian-style architecture and has recently reopened after extensive renovation.

  • The Welcome Reception and the Opening of the Exhibits will be held on Friday, October 18, 2002 in the Sheraton's Legislative Terrace and the adjacent Davidson Room. Look for the specialties of the award winning executive chef, John Billings, and don't miss his Battered-Fried Strawberries.

  • The Banquet will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, the exquisitely renovated old Nashville post office that was converted into a very special art gallery. The Southern Chapter membership will have the run of the house for that evening, including the art exhibits and gift shop. The banquet will be catered by the "classiest" caterer in town and first class entertainment will be provided by a local professional soul/blues band.
