The library provides access to an extensive collection of electronic journals, books, databases and Websites through its Main Digital Library as well as its customized portals:
Print materials (books, journals and consumer health materials) include over 210,000 volumes.
A unique collection of rare books, medical instruments, photographs and VUMC memorabilia can be found in the Historical Collection. The
Medical Center Archives is a repository for manuscripts and institutional records that
reflect the history of the medical center and the history of medicine.
