Elmer Verner McCollum

(1879-1967)

Educated at the University of Kansas and Yale University. Held positions at University of Wisconsin and Johns Hopkins University. Research on vitamins and discovered vitamins A and D. Author of popular book, "The Newer Knowledge of Nutrition," and "A History of Nutrition." Popular lecturer on the applied aspects of nutrition.
