Scanner Workstation
This scanner and workstation (located behind the Patient Information desk) are reserved for VUMC primary clientele only.
- Applications on this computer include: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Image Ready, HP Scanner Center, Light Scribe Direct Disc Labeling, Microsoft Office Suite, PDF Complete, and Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.
- Scanner specs (PDF) for our HP Scanjet 8270.
Use Policies
- VUMC personnel can reserve the scanner for up to 2 hours at the scanner workstation reservation form; the scanner can be reserved during the library's full service hours only.
- Arrive promptly for reserved times. Reserved times will be honored for 10 minutes past the scheduled hour, after which users waiting for the machines can use them.
- Use of the scanner during limited services hours (9pm-2am weekdays during the academic year; weekend hours vary) is on a first come, first served basis.
- Contact Vickie Bady between 8:00am and 4:00pm for assistance with quick Photoshop or scanning questions.
- Printing is not available from this workstation. Please save your work to a writable CD/DVD, USB jump drive, or email it to yourself to print elsewhere.
- Files saved on this machine are deleted nightly and every time the computer is restarted.
- Please limit your use of these machines to projects for VUMC work or assignments only.
