This past spring, the Vanderbilt-Lipscomb Primary Care Progress chapter and faculty from the Vanderbilt Program in Interprofessional Learning (VPIL) piloted an internally run program of student hotspotting. Hotspotting is a healthcare advocacy model that works to identify patients who disproportionately use healthcare resources and provides an interprofessional, short-term intervention to identify drivers into the healthcare system and major barriers to optimal care. This project is an expansion of the Camden Coalition, Primary Care Progress, and American Academy of Medical College's Interprofessional Student Hospotting Learning Collaborative, an effort started to expand the hotspotting model nationally and mentor students on hotspotting as a means to identify social determinants of health and engage in systems-based and interprofessional learning (https://www.camdenhealth.org/programs/student-hotspotting/).

Primary Care Progress and the coordinators of the Spring/Summer Hotspotting Program would like to invite you to the capstone presentation of this spring's interprofessional student hotspotting team. This team consisted of six dedicated students from the Vanderbilt Schools of Medicine and Nursing and Lipscomb College of Pharmacy. These team members will present their reflections and lessons learned from the course of the semester. Light refreshments will be provided.
