The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to describe the concept of Joint Commission Accreditation, including expectations and interview techniques during a site visit; review national patient safety goals and best practices, identify potential deficiencies during EOC and life safety survey, review elements of performance with staff qualifications, new staff orientation, and continuing education, and identify provisions of care that impact coordination of care across the continuum.
