Children of all ages love the chance to be creative at the Sarratt Youth Art Institute! There is a lot of fun and learning as children explore clay, painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, textile arts, while making new friends and learning about the wonderful world of art. Voted Best Kids Camp of Nashville 2012 in the Nashville Scene’s readers poll, we’re looking forward to another busy and exciting summer of art in 2018.

For Summer 2018, SYAI will be touring the globe with our theme “A Wonderful World of Art”. Through art we will travel the world to explore the art and cultures of the major continents and regions around the world.. Ages 5- 6 and 7 – 12 will use a variety of materials to create their own versions of art based on traditions and influences that have been passed down for years in these various countries and regions. Ages 13 – 16 will have focused lessons on particular mediums and we’ve listed the studio techniques such as darkroom photography, fiber arts, pottery on the wheel and printmaking.
8 week long sessions are planned for the summer beginning June 4, 2018.
