Ron Shapiro, best known as the sport agent for Baseball Hall of Famers such as Cal Ripken, Jr., Jim Palmer, Brooks Robinson and more, is teaching a free workshop at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Attendees will learn Shapiro’s systematic approach to productive negotiation using the 3Ps: prepare, probe and propose. Whether dealing with people in your own organization or entirely different fields, Shapiro will teach participants planned and highly effective communication to reach their goals. Shapiro draws on his experience in the worlds of law, sport, health care and business and as an author of several award winning books including The Power of Nice: How to Negotiate So Everyone Wins -- Especially You! and Perfecting Your Pitch: How to Succeed in Business and in Life by Finding Words That Work.
