This is a comprehensive 12-week training to be held in the fall of 2013 beginning Sept. 9 and continuing through Nov. 25. The specific dates are: Sept. 9, 16, 23, and 30\; Oct. 7, 14, 21, and 28\; and Nov. 4, 11, 18, and 25.
Each training is held on Monday mornings for three hours, beginning at 8:30 a.m. CST and ending at 11:30 a.m. CST. In East Tennessee, the training begins at 9:30 a.m. EST and ends at 12:30 p.m. EST. The training will include a binder of materials including passages from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, No Child Left Behind, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Additionally, the participants will be given copies of each training session's PowerPoint presentations along with relevant materials. For each training session, the participant will be expected to read pertinent materials.
The training will be held in Room 241 of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, located at 110 One Magnolia Circle, Nashville.
The training will also be video-conferenced to other sites across the state.
There is a $30 charge to cover the cost of materials for the training.
Registration is due by Sept. 2. Once you have completed registration and payment by clicking on the link above, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to a RedCap survey where you will need to provide additional information about yourself, as well as where you'd prefer to receive your trainings. NOTE: You only have to register once to be registered for all 12 courses.
