Sarratt Art Studios at Vanderbilt University is pleased to announce the fall schedule and online registration is now open! This non credit art program is open to everyone from the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities and surrounding area.
Choose from a great list of art classes that includes pottery on the wheel, photography, a variety of drawing and painting classes, jewelry, and graphic design. New classes this fall include Sculpting the Human Figure in Clay and Illustration as Visual Storytelling.
Classes meet once a week for 2 hours and are offered at various times during the day. Most classes meet for 12 weeks during the semester with Graphic Design and Beginning Digital Photography meeting for 6 weeks. Located in Sarratt Student Center this unique program offers quality instruction from Nashville artists, affordable tuition prices and a great way to learn something new in the arts.
Fall classes begin the week of September 12 and class sizes are limited to 10 - 12 participants.

The Vanderbilt Medical Group (VMG) Systems and Service Education Department offers a comprehensive Provider Orientation Program for new providers joining VMG. This one or two day (based on provider service) course provides essential information on current provider initiatives, compliance requirements, safety training, and documentation and coding procedures. In addition, providers receive 6 hours of Electronic Medical Record (StarPanel) systems training. One-on-one precepting is offered for each provider approximately 6-8 weeks after completion of orientation. In addition to the one or two day New Provider Orientation (NPO), advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs, CNMs, etc.) will be required to attend Advanced Practice Provider Orientation on the Friday following NPO.
The Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Association with the support of VU Athletics is sponsoring a grad. student ID validation in the North Lobby of LH on Thur. Aug. 25 and Fri. Aug 26; 11am-1pm. The cost is $25.00 for each sport ($50 if you want to validate for both football and basketball). Must be paid in cash—no credit cards or checks will be accepted at this validation site.) If applicable, bring your spouse’s VU ID badge and validate his/hers at the same time. The McGugin Ticket Office (8:30am-5:00pm) accepts Credit Cards—but no validations are done on game days.
Participate in programs to measure blood pressure, weight and body mass index. These numbers can be used on your yearly Compass Health Assessment and Wellness Actions Log for the Go for the Gold program. It’s a convenient way to track your changes.
