The Center for Patient and Professional Advocacy:

  • Offers PARS® (Patient Advocacy Reporting System®), the first and oldest evidence-based assessment and action-oriented intervention system designed to address unnecessary variations in healthcare, such as the critical issues of patient safety and disruptive behavior;

  • Can demonstrate the PARS tool and processes contribute to reduced malpractice claims, and improved quality and safety indicators such as hand hygiene compliance and CLABSI rates;

  • Has partnered PARS with more than 60 (and growing) healthcare system sites and medical groups since 1998; and

  • Over the past three years, has visited more than 300 locations to train professionals on addressing unnecesssary variation in healthcare, covering topics such as launching patient safety and quality inititatives, dealing with behaviors that undermine a culture of safety, disclosing medical errors, and service recovery.
