Take I-40 West toward Nashville for 6.7 miles. I-24 will join then leave it. When I-65 joins it, follow I-65 North/I-40 West for 0.4 miles. Take Exit 209A, Broadway/Church Street. After 0.2 miles on the exit ramp, turn left onto Broadway. Follow Broadway for 0.8 miles, staying left where West End Ave. splits off to the right, until it merges into 21st Avenue S. Follow 21st Ave. S. headed south for 0.4 miles, with the Vanderbilt U. campus on your right. After going through the traffic light intersection with Edgehill Ave, you’ll pass underneath a pedestrian overpass (if you pass under a second overpass you’ve gone too far), then immediately turn right at the next traffic light onto Medical Center Dr. The Medical Arts Building is on the southwest corner of this intersection (on your left after turning right) and is adjacent to the public parking facility. Follow Medical Center Dr. a short distance around a left curve, and the entrance to public parking in the East Parking Garage will be on your left, opposite Vanderbilt Hospital’s main entrance. Allow approximately thirty minutes driving time during normal traffic.
Vanderbilt is located about a mile and a half southwest of downtown Nashville, and driving times are approximately 4 hours from Atlanta, 3 hours from Birmingham, 2.5 hours from Knoxville, 3 hours from Louisville, and 3 hours from Memphis.
From the north, take I-24 South or I-65 South until it merges with I-40 East, then in about 1 mile take exit 209B. Turn right onto Broadway, then follow the directions above.
From the east or south, from either I-65 North or I-24 North, get onto I-40 West heading into Nashville, then follow the directions above.
From the west, take I-40 East until it merges with I-65 South, then in about 1 mile take exit 209B. Turn right onto Broadway, then follow the directions above.
