Dr. Whitney is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. After completing medical school at Tulane University Medical School, she completed her clinical training in Pediatrics, Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine at Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care. After two years on the Pediatrics faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine she went on to complete residency training in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University. She re-joined the faculty in the Department of Anesthesiology in 2010. Dr. Whitney practices Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Her professional interests include patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical process improvement.
