CRS Scholarships

he Canby Robinson Society has helped ease the burden of student debt through the CRS Scholarship program and the Scholarship Benefactor Program.

The Canby Robinson Society launched the CRS Scholarship program in 1987 which provides full, four-year tuition scholar-ships and stipends and, with satisfactory progress at Vanderbilt, continue for four years.  The scholarships are awarded on the basis of demonstrated leadership and scholarship activities.  Scholarship recipients are recommended by the dean and the chair of the Admissions Committee.  Their recommendations are then forwarded to the Canby Robinson Society Awards Committee for final approval.

· Scholarship Benefactor Program $5,000
· Financial Assistance Sponsor $3,000

Donors who have a particular interest in medical student education may wish to become Scholarship Benefactors.   These people help underwrite a medical student's tuition with an annual gift to the Medical Center of $3,000 or $5,000.   This need-based program awards the donor's entire gift to a selected student, thus allowing reduction in tuition.
