The faculty of DBMI welcomes you to the web page of the Vanderbilt Graduate Program in Biomedical Informatics.

Biomedical Informatics is a cornerstone of the patient care of the future. Advances in the structural and functional decoding of the human genome, electronic patient records, physician order-entry systems, intelligent decision support systems, and evidence-based practice converge to the critical junction occupied by the science of processing and organizing complex and massive biomedical knowledge and information.

We hope that the information provided here will expand your understanding of the field, increase your awareness of its potential, and broaden your outlook on biomedical informatics educational options.
