Laura Brown completed her undergraduate education at Swarthmore College in May 2000 with a degree in
Engineering and a concentration in Computer Science. She then went to the University of Michigan and
received a Master's in Computer Science. At Michigan, her coursework and research was focused in the
area of artificial intelligence. She worked on research projects dealing with planning and plan management.
Her research interests here at Vanderbilt are in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Bioinformatics.
