Sofware Oversight Committee (SOC) Project (NLM R01 funded, 1998-2001)
Responsibility for monitoring complex clinical software systems should be placed at the local level whenever possible,
rather than being centrally administered by a federal agency. The multi-institutional SOC project has created and
evaluated prototypical local software process quality monitoring committees, and determined how such models can be useful nationally [33-34].
Participating Faculty: Randy Miller, MD
Multiple faculty collaborators institutionally; Reed Gardner, Utah, PI nationally.
