I am a third year graduate student at Meharry Medical College and through the Meharry/Vanderbilt Alliance I joined the laboratory of Ariel Deutch. I am originally from Los Angeles, California, and moved to Nashville originally to attend Fisk University, where I attained a degree in Biology.
My main interest lies in the pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric diseases with an emphasis on schizophrenia. Specifically, I am investigating the modulation of cognitive function due to activation of orexigenic cells by antipsychotic drugs.
When I’m not in the lab, I spend my time watching movies, reading, and playing tennis.
