Graduate Student (Neuroscience)

I am a first year neuroscience graduate student at Vanderbilt University. Originally from Ohio, I graduated with highest honors in neuroscience from Oberlin College in the spring of 1998. My research background includes comparative neuroanatomy and molecular biology (mostly human gene discovery and protein expression) in the academic and private sectors, respectively. My current research interests lie in the basis for neurological diseases, from the molecular to the systems level. Outside of the lab, my sparse free time is devoted to the gym and music composition on the electric bass and piano.
