Vanderbilt University program in Developmental Biology

All oral and poster presentations must be accompanied by an abstract, which will be included in the PDB 'Retreat 16' meeting book.  Talk abstracts will appear in the order of presentation, while poster abstracts will be arranged alphabetically.

  • All abstract submittals should include:
    • Name
    • Institution
    • Department
    • PI
    • Position (i.e. graduate student, postdoctoral fellow, etc.)
    • Work-related email address
  • Abstracts should also adhere to the following criteria:
    • Include a title
    • Use a 1-inch margin all-around
    • Use 12 pt Arial (except for special characters)
    • Limit your text to 2000 characters (inclduing spaces but excluding title and citation information)
    • Use layman's terms so that all attendees can understand the basics of your project

All abstracts will be reviewed for compliance by the Retreat Committee. If your abstract does not meet the criteria listed above then it will either be returned to you for the necessary corrections or truncated by the review committee.

The Retreat Committee will determine the speaker presentation order after reviewing all abstracts.  At that time, if there are not enough speakers, individuals may be asked to switch from a poster to a talk.
