The Developmental Biology Research Club (DBRC) allows member labs to present their data in a ‘work in progress’ and ‘future directions’ manner to DBRC attendees.

The Research Club is particularly important to pre- and post-doctoral student training as it demonstrates a frank exchange of opinions and ideas between colleagues in an effort to helpfully appraise each others’ work while maintaining research focus. These gatherings have greatly increased the awareness of each other’s research and have lead to numerous collaborations between program members.

Research Club is scheduled on a monthly basis but is always held on a Wednesday evening to avoid conflicts with other University offerings. The Program provides a light dinner and beverages which are served prior to the seminar and which contribute towards the relaxed presentation atmosphere.

PDB Member PI's or their lab members who would like to discuss their research findings at a future DBRC can contact the Program Director or Coordinator to arrange a date.

We are planning the Research Club presentation schedule for the next year and expect to post the speaker line-up after our 2009 Lucky 13 Program Retreat
