The
Program in Developmental Biology holds its annual scientific retreat
every
fall at a Tennessee State Park. Researchers and support personnel from
Vanderbilt and St.
Jude Children’s Research Hospital participate
in two days of presentations from graduate students, postdoctoral fellows,
and an invited keynote speaker. The yearly retreat is a great way for
program members to hear about the variety of approaches taken to study
key developmental questions.
Typically, the retreat runs from Friday morning through early Saturday afternoon and features a Friday and Saturday morning session, a Friday evening keynote address, and perhaps most popular of all, the Friday evening Poster Get-Together. The scenic location, camaraderie among attendees, and good food and drink all combine to form the perfect backdrop for learning about, and discussing, developmental biology. For our 14th Annual Retreat we are changing things up. We have new days and a new venue: 14th Annual Program
