Diabetes at Vanderbilt:
From Molecules to People

Vanderbilt Student Life Center
Thursday, November 12, 2009
12:00 – 4:00 PM
Sponsored by the Vanderbilt
Diabetes Research and Training Center (DRTC)
The Vanderbilt Diabetes Research and Training Center (DRTC) invites you to a scientific symposium to highlight diabetes research at Vanderbilt. The DRTC, supported by a grant from NIDDK at the NIH, strives to enhance diabetes research and to translate research findings from the laboratory to the clinic and to the community. DRTC-affiliated investigators conduct research ranging from basic science to clinical investigation to translational science.

This year's FALL symposium will begin with keynote speaker Louis Philipson from the University of Chicago; to be followed by highlights from DRTC-affiliated researcher presentations by Vanderbilt investigators: Guogiang Gu, Owen McGuinness, and Shari Barkin; and a poster session of research from DRTC-affiliated laboratories.
