Services offered as part of the MPSR

Assessment in Humans of

1. Energy Expenditure
2. Body Composition
3. Physical Activity

This component of the core utilizes existing institutional resources for measurement of energy balance and provides personnel support that permit assessment of research in energy balance and nutrition assessment. Dr. Buchowski directs this part of the laboratory. The GCRC provides support in such areas as nutritional services, nursing, physical resources, biostatistics, informatics, genetics, and immunology.
