Brain-Body Donations


The American Autonomic Society is a non-for-profit organization devoted to education and research of disorders of the autonomic nervous system.  Like most academic organizations, we are only able to cover approximately 50% of our operational budget with membership dues, and rely on donations to meet our educational and research goals. 

We are grateful to our corporate donors for their unrestricted educational funds.  Unfortunately, autonomic disorders are uncommon, there are few drugs developed specifically for their treatment, and do not receive much attention from the pharmaceutical industry.  We are grateful for individual donations, which can be directed towards specific areas, e.g., travel research awards for young scientists.

One such cooperation is the SDS/MSA research award, given by the Shy-Drager Support Group to the best scientific presentation of this disease presented at our annual meeting.
