Dear AAS Members,
As you may or may not have heard, the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) now offers certification in the subspecialty of autonomic disorders. Please follow the link below for information.
http://www.ucns.org/go/subspecialty/autonomic/certification
In this site, you will find an outline of the core curriculum, examination outline and eligibility criteria. The certification process provides many advantages to our field and our members, particularly in regards to stimulating interest in clinical autonomic physiology/pathology, attracting high-quality applicants to our training programs, and strengthening and sustaining these programs. We strongly encourage fellows to take the certification exam and fellowship directors to pass on this recommendation to their current and former fellows. The deadline for registering to take the next exam is July 15, 2009. Applications are available on the website.
If you have any questions, please let us know (mark-chapleau@uiowa.edu).
Sincerely,
Mark W. Chapleau, PhD
