The Vanderbilt Conferences
on Genomics are born out of the University's desire to bring together
leading scientists in the field of genomics to present and discuss
 research
findings that will shape the future of biological and biochemical
science. By providing a relaxed yet professional environment for
creative thought and discussion, Vanderbilt University and its
Medical Center strive to encourage investigators to harness the
wealth of data produced by genome sequencing for the advancement
of scientific knowledge and human health.
Serving
as honorary chair for this cutting edge research conference is
Floyd E. Bloom, M.D., of The Scripps Research Institute and editor
of "Science."
