Cathleen
Pettepher, Ph.D.
Dr. Cathleen
C. Pettepher is an Associate Professor who holds an appointment
in Cancer Biology. She received her Ph.D. in Structural and
Cellular Biology from the University of South Alabama, where
she also obtained her B.Sc. degree. She has been Course Director for the Medical Cell and
Tissue Biology Course for 4 years and taught as an instructor in
the course for 9 years. In addition, Dr. Pettepher is currently
the Managing Director of the VICC Transgenic Mouse/Embryonic Stem
Cell Shared Resource. In this role, she assists intramural and extramural
investigators, graduate students, and medical students in how to
generate germline-altered mice. Dr. Pettepher is on the full-time
teaching team for the Medical Cell and Tissue Biology Course in
the spring semester and presents several embryology and anatomy
lectures in the Medical Gross Anatomy Course in the fall semester.
