H. Wayne
Lambert, Ph.D.
Dr. H. Wayne Lambert is entering his sixth year of teaching
medical students in gross anatomy, histology, and neuroanatomy
courses at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He is
currently an instructor in the Department of Cell and Developmental
Biology. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Cell Biology
and Anatomy at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and
his B.Sc. was received from the Virginia Military Institute in biology with minors
in chemistry and English. Within the Vanderbilt School of Medicine,
Dr. Lambert serves as a professional interviewer and member of the
Admissions Committee, a member of the Promotions Committee for the
VMS I class, a medical student faculty advisor, and a liaison for
the M.D./Ph.D. program. On a personal note, he is married to Raine
Lambert, M.D., who is a local pediatrician, and they have a daughter
named Emma Madelyn Lambert (born 9/14/01) and a son. Dr. Lambert enjoys spending
time with his family and menagerie of pets, singing and reading to his
daughter, attending and watching sporting events, collecting sports
autographs, and playing basketball and rugby.
