Slide Sets
Each pair of students will have available one set (three boxes) of microscope
slides. A checklist will be provided during the first laboratory period
to help identify missing or damaged slides. Each student will be expected
to return INTACT, the slide set checked out to him/her. These sets
should be stored in the lockers beneath the bench and NOT removed
from the lab. In addition, a single box of slides ("bench" box)
will be placed on each bench and will be available to the eight students
at that location. Letters "BB" in the lab guide identifies the
slides in this box. Please leave this box on top of the lab table so it
is accessible to all students.
Microscopes
and Projectors
In addition to your rental microscope, the laboratory is equipped with
a number of dual-headed microscopes for use by pairs of students or by
a student and an instructor. The three multi-headed microscopes are to
be used ONLY with an instructor. A projector for 2 x 2 slides is
provided for each bench in the laboratory.
