Critical Care Research Nurse
Leanne Boehm received a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master's degree in Clinical Management from Vanderbilt University. She worked as a critical care nurse since 2003 and became a member of the ICU Delirium and Cognitive Impairment Study Group in 2008. As a staff nurse Leanne participated in precepting new staff as well as development of protocols to improve patient safety and cost of care. As a research nurse, she participates in creation of protocols, grant writing, and coordinating and managing studies. She began to pursue a PhD in Nursing Science in 2011 at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Leanne is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, and the Society of Clinical Research Associates.
