Outlook can be used to manage reservations for rooms, equipment, and other resources in a way that automates much of the process. Information Management (a/k/a Information Systems) uses Outlook to manage the West End conference rooms and selected pieces of equipment. The system may be expanded to include other resources in the future.
There are several ways to make a resource reservation. This tutorial will demonstrate the basics of each method, and will describe the situations which best suit each. There are many options and alternate techniques available, but these instructions will concentrate on the most commonly used features.
NOTE: The illustrations in this tutorial were created with Outlook 2003. If you are using Outlook 2002 or earlier, the features described should be available to you, they just may look different or be in a different location.
