Sharing Calendars

Overview

In many cases it is helpful to give access to your Calendar or other Outlook folders to an assistant or another staff person. When you share a folder, you control the level of access the other person has; you may only allow them to view the contents, or you may choose to let them add items, delete or edit existing items, etc. If a Calendar or other folder has been shared with you--such as the Calendars for rooms and equipment--you can view and work with it according to the permissions granted.

This tutorial demonstrates the simple procedures for sharing a Calendar as well as viewing a shared Calendar.  The same steps may be followed with any other Outlook folder, such as Tasks, Email, Contacts, etc.

NOTE: The illustrations in this tutorial were created with Outlook 2003.  If you are using Outlook 2002 or earlier, the features described should be available to you, they just may look different or be in a different location.
