What is RSS?

RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feeds contain descriptions, information and links back to full-text content on the web.

How can I use RSS?

You will need a news reader or an aggregator to consume RSS content from sites of your choosing. There are many free news readers available -- both desktop software and Web-based varieties. Some browsers even have built-in support for feeds.

What is the benefit?

RSS is an easy way to be alerted when content that interests you appears on your favorite Web sites. Instead of visiting a particular Web site to browse for new articles and features, RSS automatically tells you when something new is posted online. Oh yeah, and it's free.
