- Activate your VUNetID ( your ID and password for email, VMS Portal, and all other password protected resources)
- Check In. (Opens Thursday, July 31 at 8:00AM; Closes Monday, August 4 at 11:59PM.) Please use the link to enter your local address and other important information. Students are required by the University to do this registration process at the start of each term. Any delay in this process can cause a delay in your financial aid disbursement.
- Request a Final Transcript. Be sure to request a final transcript from all previous schools that have conferred a degree for you. Have transcripts sent to the Office of Medical School Admissions, 215 Light Hall, Nashville, TN 37232-0685.
- Register for AlertVU

- Waive Student Health Insurance by August 1.

Transcripts Required for Matriculation
It is imperative that Vanderbilt University School of Medicine has a complete record of your undergraduate and/or graduate preparation prior to your matriculation to medical school. Forward an official final transcript with degree awarded with date of graduation by July, 13, 2008. Send transcript to: Office of Medical School Admissions, 215 Light Hall, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, TN 37232-0685. This requirement must be met prior to registration and enrollment on July 31, 2008. Transcripts sent to AMCAS during the application process do not fulfill this requirement.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees are reviewed annually by the Vanderbilt Board of Trust and ordinarily established in the Spring for the subsequent year. Tuition for the 2008-2009 academic year is $38,400. A student is required to pay one-half of the annual tuition and student health insurance fee, and all other required fees for the fall semester by August 20, 2008. Bills will be mailed August 1. Payment made later than August 20 will incur a university late payment charge of 1.5% per month on the past due tuition and fees. The second half of tuition and required fees for the spring semester will be due by January 5, 2009. Bills will be mailed December 1.
