Receipt of Funds and Refund Checks

Funds will be disbursed equally among the periods of enrollment, either by check or electronic funds transfer (EFT). If the funds are transmitted by EFT, they will automatically be credited to your student account. If the funds are by check, you will be notified that the check has arrived and that you must endorse the check, which will then be credited to your student account. You will receive a letter notifying you when your funds have been credited to your student account. You have 14 days in which to cancel loan funds by notifying us in writing.

If your financial aid is more than your Vanderbilt charges on your student account, a refund check for the credit balance will be automatically generated to pay toward your living expenses. Checks will be mailed to your local address within 5-10 business days.
