Sun Protection Project

The Sun Protection Project is a community service program which began in 2003. Each year, the Dermatology Interest Group sends medical students to elemetary schools to teach children about sun protection. The program begins with a cartoon slide show, followed by outdoor activities, and concludes with a game.

Sun Protection Project
Medical students read a story called Project: Sunwise to go along with the cartoon.

Sun Protection Project
Mary Alice Nading teaches the children that the suns rays are most dangerous when your shadow is shorter than you are.
