Welcome to the web site of the Center for Outcomes Research in Education (CORE). Established in 2006, CORE is dedicated to quality learning through results and feedback. The key value-added from CORE is the development of high quality measures of learning achievement. Through collaboration with Vanderbilt faculty members and administrators, we will:
- Create systems for and evidence of successful learning at all three levels of formal medical education
- Create national and international recognition of Vanderbilt as a leader in evidence-based learning outcomes
- Create leaders in scholarship about medical education
- Conduct research and development for innovative and effective measures of learning
We offer workshops, seminars and individual consultation for faculty interested in scholarship in medical education, generally and on development of innovative outcome measures, more specifically.
To learn more about what we do, I invite you to browse this site and leave us a note about what you see.
Sincerely,
Emil Petrusa, Ph.D.
Professor of Medical Education and Administration
