Conversations
Conversations is a monthly opportunity to hear about research topics and have your research ideas aired in a collaborative, supportive environment. We request an RSVP to assure enough food is ordered. You can use the Online Registration Form to reserve your spot.
Consultation
CORE will meet with students, residents or faculty interested in or conducting research in medical education. Consultation may also be focused on presentation of results, medical education ournals, sources for funding and statistical analysis. Consultation is usually short-termed, from 1 to three sessions.
Collaboration
CORE seeks enduring relationships in the pursuit of scholarship. Things work better when we are involved from the earliest stages of a research project. Our expectation in collaborations is to be included as part of external funding and shared authorship.
Workshops
CORE sponsors a number of educational events and workshops throughout the year.
- Test Development and Item Writing. This 4 hour workshop is offered in collaboration with OTLM to faculty of the medical school. Its purpose is to promote high quality written tests. Participants work through 9 steps for the development of a test, critique and then write their own questions and increase their knowledge of item statistics that often come with automated test scoring. Offered 2 times/year.
