Great Ideas for Vanderbilt Medical Education (GIVME): small grants to develop great ideas in teaching and learning - funded by Undergraduate Medical Education and Office for Teaching & Learning in Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Deadline is in the spring each year.
Stahlman Scholars for the Study of Biomedical Ethics and Society at VUMC: This program provides small grants to enable faculty in medicine or nursing to explore ethical and social issues that influence the delivery of health care. Projects can involve research, teaching or patient care, or some combination of these activities.
IDEAS (Innovation and Discovery in Engineering And Science) Program: The goal of the IDEAS Program is to seed or accelerate the progress of bold, pioneering research in Engineering, the Physical Sciences (including Mathematics), the Biological and Biomedical Sciences, the quantitative Social Sciences and the Psychological Sciences. To be successful, a pre-proposal must make a persuasive case that an investment of one-time-only institutional funds will significantly advance a novel idea or eliminate a barrier to the solution of an important problem. Full proposals will be accepted by invitation only.
