SGEA Abstract Reviewers
Information and Guidelines
April 3-5, 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee
Serving as a reviewer is a key role for making your regional SGEA program a success. Your role as a reviewer will assure the highest quality of workshops, oral presentations, posters, demonstrations and small group discussions. We look to your expertise to help make the best selections for the conference.
If you are interested in being a reviewer, you will have the option of identifying yourself when you create your profile. Once you create a user account, you may select the “I want to serve as a reviewer” button on the “my profile” page. It will prompt you to select the area in the continuum of medical education and content area of your interest. If you are a first time reviewer and you need information on how to review an abstract, please click on the link below for more information. Reviewer Registration

Reviewer Guidelines
Overall, we want to make this an easy experience for you. Please select the format types and content area you wish to review for. Provide all the appropriate contact information especially emails so we can send all materials electronically. You will receive 1-3 submissions in the categories you selected. In your review, you will be asked to judge if the abstract should be accepted, rejected or converted to oral presentation or poster. Please provide written comments. These comments will be used as feedback for each author. Use one reviewer form for each review. Click here for reviewer form. Complete the form in Microsoft word or Adobe pdf. Send the reviewer form back as soon as you complete it and continue to your next review. If possible, do not batch them and send back all at once.
Timeline
Abstracts will be sent out for review just after December 12th 2007. You will have about one month to complete your reviews. Please pace yourself and remember to take holidays and vacation plans into account. It helps to have all the submissions reviewed, selected or rejected by the first week of January. This allows the planning committee time to develop the program and inform the authors in a timely manner. The deadline for returning all reviews is January 11, 2008.
Contact Charlene Dewey, M.D., M.Ed., FACP for any questions on reviewing submissions. Charlene.dewey@vanderbilt.edu
