February is National Heart Month; be Heart-Healthy with Count on Your Heart
During National Heart Month in February and National Nutrition Month in March, Vanderbilt Heart and Health Plus reminds you to love your heart by participating in a variety of fun and informative programs designed to lower your risk for heart disease.
- Wear Red Day, Friday, Feb. 4, noon to 1 p.m. Heart Lunch and Learn – a discussion on heart disease in women with Vanderbilt Heart Cardiologist Mark Glazer, M.D. Wear red and get a heart-healthy recipe packet.
- Know Your Numbers - keep your blood pressure and weight in check by visiting a Know Your Numbers station. Enter a drawing for one of five Eating Well: Healthy in a Hurry Cookbooks.
- LOVE YOUR HEART Expo, Wednesday, Feb. 9 – speak to health professionals, have health screenings, get prizes, and more. Cholesterol and glucose screenings will be available while supplies last.
