Vanderbilt Recognizes National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on March 24

Take action in the fight against HIV/AIDS by observing National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on March 24, with the Vanderbilt University HIV Vaccine Program and the Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center.

There are several events throughout the day, including free testing, and a panel discussion entitled “HIV, AIDS and Women: A 360° Perspective.”

 This panel will feature a student HIV activist, advocates, and doctors speaking about the impact of HIV and AIDS on women and girls today.

Free HIV Testing through Nashville Cares and Planned Parenthood of Middle Tennessee.

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Sarratt Promenade (informational booths) and Sarratt 189 (free, private testing)

Panel Discussion: “HIV, AIDS and Women: A 360º Perspective”
When: 6:30-8 p.m.
Where: Commons multi-purpose room
