Street Closure on Pierce Avenue March 26, 27
In connection with the expansion project at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, construction crews will begin installing a crane on Pierce Avenue which will require changes in vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area.
On Saturday, March 26, at 6 a.m., Pierce Avenue will close between Medical Center Drive and 23rd Avenue. The road will re-open to one-lane, one-way traffic on Sunday, March 27, at 7 p.m.
Sky Walk and Bridge from Children’s to TVC
Beginning on Saturday, March 26, at 6 a.m., the exterior, second floor sky walk on the perimeter of Children’s Hospital will close for the remainder of the expansion project.
Also affected is the bridge between Children’s Hospital and TVC, which will close March 26 at 6 a.m. and re-open March 27 at 7 p.m.
The main sky bridge linking South Garage with Children’s Hospital is not affected. During these closures employees are strongly encouraged to use the street level to access PRB, TVC and the main Medical Center campus.
