National Walking Day at Vanderbilt is Wednesday, April 6

On Wednesday, April 6, adults nationwide can make the pledge to begin walking and to become active and heart-healthy at work. Wear your sneakers and take a walk around campus.

Join a 20-minute group walk starting at noon at Medical Center North and ending at Library Lawn, led by Health Plus staff members.

Come to the finish at 12:20 p.m. on Library Lawn for a brief celebration of Vanderbilt’s commitment to a culture of wellness led by Marilyn Dubree, MSN, R.N., executive chief nursing officer, and C. Wright Pinson, MBA, M.D., deputy vice chancellor for Health Affairs and CEO of the Vanderbilt Health System.

Can’t join the group walk? Take 30 minutes out of your day to get up and walk by yourself or with a co-worker. View the Vanderbilt Campus Marked Walking Trails to get started or create your own walk.
