Epithelial Biology Center Inaugural Symposium, Friday, April 29
The Vanderbilt Epithelial Biology Center (EBC) will hold its inaugural symposium on Friday, April 29, from 10:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. in 208 Light Hall.
The EBC, directed by Robert Coffey, M.D., and co-director James Goldenring, M.D., Ph.D., takes a multidisciplinary approach to better understand and cure diseases of epithelial origin.
EBC members span an array of specialties, including Medicine, Cell and Developmental Biology, Surgery, Cancer Biology and others.
The symposium will include keynote addresses by Joan Brugge, Ph.D., professor of Cell Biology and chair of Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School, as well as W. James Nelson, Ph.D., professor of Biology at Stanford University.
