Medical Center Badge Verification

A message from Traci K. Nordberg, Chief Human Resources Officer and Warren Beck, Senior Vice President of Finance, VUMC

This summer, you and your Medical Center colleagues will receive new identification badges that take advantage of updated technology and enhanced security. The logos will also make it easy for all of us, and our patients, to identify employees.

Here is what you need to know and do:
• Verify the information that will be displayed on your badge, including, name, department, title and credentials, by visiting http://hr.vanderbilt.edu/update-vumc-id-badge/ between April 18 and May 13. This should take no longer than three minutes.
• If you do not verify your data, your new badge may be missing information (e.g. credentials).
• Your supervisor and VUMC leadership will verify your updated information before the badges are printed to ensure consistency in titling across the organization.
• Once the new badges have been reprinted in late summer/early fall, your supervisor will follow up with information on receiving your new badge and returning your old one. To ensure that old badges are no longer in circulation, you must turn in your old badge.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation on this important effort. I look forward to seeing all of us wearing our new badges in a few months.

Best,

Traci K. Nordberg
Chief Human Resources Officer
