Vanderbilt Fan Day: Dore Jam Scheduled for Sunday, August 7
The Dore Jam, a free annual meet-and-greet with the Commodore football team and coaches, will be Sunday, August 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. The event, hosted by Vanderbilt Athletics, also will include activities for children, and will be held at the team’s John Rich Practice Facility.
Dore Jam is free to all Commodore fans. The event allows fans to interact with new Vanderbilt Head Coach James Franklin, his coaching staff and the Commodore players, receive autographs and a free poster. Food and drinks are also provided.
Fans who have not yet purchased their 2011 season tickets will be able to do so on-site with personnel from the Vanderbilt Ticket Office.
“We have added some additional activities for the kids this year so that the whole family can be better entertained,” said Steve Walsh, director of Sales and Marketing. “This is a great opportunity for Commodore fans to meet the team and our new coaches in a fun setting.”
Fans attending Dore Jam can park for free in the lots located along Natchez Trace between Vanderbilt Place and Blakemore Avenue. Some activities will be outside of the practice facility on Natchez Trace. Once inside the practice facility, fans will have a chance to get pictures and autographs with the football team, along with members of other Commodore athletic squads.
