Vanderbilt Farmers Markets Open Today

The 2011 Vanderbilt Farmers Market is now in full swing at two locations:

Vanderbilt University Main Campus Location:
Stop by and shop for local fruits and vegetables, dairy products such as goat cheese, milk and yogurt, grass-fed beef, eggs, pasta, honey, healthy baked goods and flowers. Find the market at the Medical Center Plaza across from Langford Auditorium.

Vanderbilt Health One Hundred Oaks Location:
The One Hundred Oaks market sells fruit, vegetables and other local offerings. Find the market between the south end of the mall and the cinema. Be one of the first 100 people who come to the One Hundred Oaks Market on Thursday, July 21, and receive a reusable shopping bag.

Both markets run through Oct. 27, every Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m., rain or shine. Cash is accepted at all vendors; credit cards and debit cards are accepted at some.

It's summertime and fruits and vegetables at the Vanderbilt Farmers' Markets are at their peak. View the Farmers' Market seasonality calendar and plan your visit to the market today. Selections may vary based on weather conditions and farmers' availability on that day.

All through the season, you can go to the Health Plus website to keep up to date with the latest seasonal highlights, recipes, vendor spotlights and more.
